The Journey of a Self-Taught Florist

I may not be center stage, but every day I pour my heart into my work—guided by purpose, fueled by passion, and always surrounded by petals. I’m a self-taught florist who found my true calling not in a classroom, but among the blooms—creating joy, beauty, and connection one bouquet at a time.

Being raised alongside four older brothers, we had the strength and love of an incredible mother holding us together. My father’s passing left a space in our family, but his memory lives on in the way we love deeply and support one another fiercely.

My roots are split between the sun-soaked charm of Florida, where I spent much of my early years, and the heart of Alabama, where I walked the halls of middle and high school. Those southern states helped shape the resilient, vibrant person I am today.

Before floristry found me—or perhaps, before I found it—I spent most of my work life in retail management. It taught me discipline, leadership, and most importantly, the art of customer service. I take pride in going above and beyond for every person who walks into my shop. Creating joy isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am.

The gym is my sanctuary, a place I visit 5 days a week to recharge and reflect. Outside of work, I thrive under the sun—whether it’s at the beach or over brunch with friends. But the real magic happens when I step into my flower shop. There, surrounded by colors and fragrance, time fades. What I do doesn’t feel like work—it feels like home.

I believe I’m one in a million. Not because I chase perfection, but because I’ve found what sets my soul on fire. I’ve discovered that my purpose in life is to share beauty, celebrate life, and help others mark their most important moments with love and intention.
